Virtual Gift Cards

Virtual Gift Cards allow you to sell gift cards to your customers and track everything in your point of sale system. The virtual gift cards can be redeemed by selecting the customer's profile and selecting the gift card to be redeemed. 

 

Turn on the Settings to Show Points and Tickets and Allow Redemption of Tickets

  1. From your Point of Sale, click Admin
  2. Click Manage & Upgrade POS
  3. Check off Automatically show points and tickets when choosing a customer &Allow redemption of tickets without the ticket being present. 
  4. When you select a customer from the sales screen, your customers loyalty points and tickets will now automatically pop up. 
  5. By checking off Allow redemption of tickets without the ticket being present, you can select the gift card from the customers profile when redeeming the gift card as a payment type. If the customer has multiple gift cards, you may select the one to redeem. 

 

Creating a Virtual Gift Card Item

  1. From your Point of Sale, click Admin
  2. Click Items & Departments
  3. Navigate to your Gift Cards department or the department where you new gift card item will be stored.
  4. Click Add Item
  5. Type in the Name of the gift card (E.g. "$20 Gift Card") and press the tab button on your keyboard 3 times to copy the text to the Button Text, Receipt Description and Label Text.            
  6. Set the Accounting Reference
  7. Set the Item Type to Non-Inventory Item (green fee, power cart rental)
  8. Click Next
  9. Type in the Retail Price
  10. Click Next
  11. Set the Receipt settings
  12. Click Add/ Remove Tickets
  13. Select the Gift Certificate ticket and click Add. You will see the chosen Item Ticket on the right side. 
  14. Click Ok
  15. Click Save

 

Change the Print Style in the Ticket Settings

  1. Click Admin   
  2. Click Ticket Setup
  3. Select the Gift Certificate ticket and click Edit Ticket
  4. Click Set Print Style
  5. Set the print style to Print Nothing (Note: Only do this if you want to sell all gift cards as virtual gift cards)
  6. Click Ok

 

Redeeming the Virtual Gift Card

  1. From the sales screen in your Point of Sale, click Select Customer. 
  2. Search for the customer that has the virtual gift card on their account.
  3. Select the sales items for the transaction. 
  4. Click the Gift Certificate payment type. If you don't see it, click More... and it should appear.
  5. Select the gift certificate and click Ok. If the customer has more than one gift certificate you may choose from the list.
