Training Mode

To make training easier, we include a training module within the POS so that everyone can practice using the various functions before working on the "live" system. Upon logging in, users can perform either staff or administrator functions, noting that none of the actions will be stored. Counter staff can practice making sales while club managers can experiment with creating receipts and combos. This version of the Point of Sale has a slightly different coloured screen to help distinguish it from the live system. In addition, the phrase "Training Mode" appears at the top of the screen.

 

Opening and Using Training Mode

  1. Click Admin
  2. Click Training Mode
  3. Click Copy Data for Training Mode
  4. Click Yes to copy. 
  5. Click Switch to Training Mode
  6. Close the POS by clicking the X in the top right hand corner.
  7. Click Yes to close the register.
  8. The training version will start running and a popup login box will appear. Do not use your regular ID - instead, enter the quick logins 2 for Administrators and 100 for Super Administrators. (Username are not required)

Please Note: You must restart the POS client after finishing the training session to return to the live Point of Sale.

 

Problem Logging in to Training Mode

If you are having issues logging in to training mode after you have copied the data, there is one more step you have to do.

 

You must restart the service for training mode. This can be found in your "Services" on your Server computer. The name of the service is "TeeOnPOSTraining".

  1. Press the Windows Button on your Keyboard.
  2. Type in Services and click on it. 
  3. Scroll down to where the TeeOnPOSTraining service is.
  4. Select the Service and right click on it.
  5. Click Restart
  6. Windows will restart the service for you.

You should now be able to log in to training mode. If you are still unable to, please contact our support team.
