Tips When Working With Tee Sheet Templates

Templates are the core of your tee sheet setup and are the basic layout for how your tee sheet will look and behave. Here are some tips from Tee On to make working with templates easier and more efficient.

  • Use Hours of Operation. We recommend that when setting the start and end times for your templates that you choose the earliest start time and latest end time of your entire season. The “Hours of Operation” function can be applied to adjust for daylight rather than editing the templates or creating a series of templates with different start and end times.

  • Be clear when choosing a name for your templates. If it is a template that will only be used on Mondays use “Monday” as the name instead of “Weekday”. You will generally only make changes and apply your templates once a year so it can save a lot of time if the names are clear and concise.

  • Make sure you set your Template Defaults. After you have created your templates, make sure you set your template defaults. If a day doesn’t have a template applied to it, that day will be set to the template default for that particular day of the week.

  • Remove any broken templates. For courses using the tee sheet prior to January 2019, you may have broken templates in your list. Broken templates can no longer be fixed and should be replaced and removed.
