Setting the Button Color
Button colors are useful for organizing items within a department or inventory tree. There are two methods for changing button color, by editing the individual item or by selecting a group of items to change. You also have the ability to copy and paste colors for times when you are associating a specific color with a certain meaning.
Setting the Button Color for an Individual Item
- From Admin, click Items and Departments
- Select the item you want to edit.
- Click Button Color
- Click Choose Color
- Select the Color from the chart and click Ok
- If you want to use white text on the button, check the box beside Use White Text
- Click Ok
- Click Save
Setting the Button Color for Multiple Items
- Click Admin
- Click Items and Departments
- Select the department you want to work on
- Click Set Item Order
- Select the buttons you want to change the color for; you can select as many as you need.
- Click Set Button Color
Setting a New Color
- If you want the text to be white, check the box beside Use White Text
- Click New Color
- Select the color from the chart of colors
- Click Ok
- Click Save Changes
Choose an Existing Color
- If you want the text to be white, check the box beside Use White Text
- Click Choose Existing Color
- Select the color from one of the other items
- Click Save Changes
Copy and Pasting Colors
Copying a Color
- Click Admin
- Click Items and Departments
- Select the department you want to work on
- Click Set Item Order
- Select the item with the color you want to copy
- Click Set Button Color
- Click Copy Color
Pasting a Color
- Select the item you want to paste the color to.
- Click Set Button Color
- Click Paste Color
- Click Save Changes
