POS Upgrade Notes (2025.15)

⏰ Time & Register Accuracy

  • Online POS reports now convert dates correctly to your local time zone, even when Adjust for Daylight Savings is turned off.

  • Improved auto close/open timing logic to avoid issues during daylight savings changes.

  • New Auto Log Off setting lets you automatically log out a register after a set period of inactivity (configured per physical register).

🧾 Receipts, Statements & Reprints

  • When reprinting or emailing a receipt/invoice for a voided transaction, it will now clearly show “VOID TRANSACTION.”

  • Fixed an issue where emailing multiple tickets from a single item would only send the first ticket.

  • Gift cards can now be applied to a transaction after checking the balance.

💳 Payments & Transactions

  • Fixed an issue where voiding/reinstating a transaction with both a restricted card and gift card could apply balance changes twice.

  • Added a new report showing payment type changes and customer changes in the Transaction Viewer.

  • Gratuity payout lists are now shown in alphabetical order for clarity.

🧑‍🍳 Online Orders & Food Service

  • You can now edit online food orders for pay-on-delivery transactions (items can be added, not removed).

🏷 Inventory & Item Reporting

  • Inventory Activity Report now includes a cost column in the non-detailed view to show dollar value of adjustments.

  • Item Detail Report now shows item creation dates.

  • Creation dates are now recorded for all item types, not just inventory items.

🧾 Check-In & Redemptions

  • Added a setting to allow time-range specific redemptions, overriding all-day redemption rules when needed.

💰 Cash Handling

  • New setting to force close and print cash reconciliation.
    If staff have permission to print the cash rec, printing is now required.

📝 Customers & Notes

  • You can now add notes to an entire customer type, making it easier to share important information across similar customers.

🖨 Gift Certificates & Printing

  • Fixed an issue where gift card content couldn’t be edited unless a printer was selected.

📤 Exports & Reports

  • Export warning now appears only once, even when exporting multiple registers.

  • Fixed inconsistencies in Sales by Department and Sales by Accounting Reference reports when selecting a full month.

  • Added ability to apply gift cards mid-transaction after checking balance.

🛒 Cart & Agreements

  • Updated the default cart agreement to remove course-specific language and restore a generic default.

🌍 Language & Character Support

  • Fixed an issue where online transactions failed if a customer name included non-English characters. Names now fully support international characters.
