POS Server Installation

  1. Tee On will provide a link to download the installation files for the server
  2. Download the installation file (it is a zip file). Extract the file once it has been downloaded
  3. In the folder where the file was extracted - Double click setup.exe
  4. On the first screen there is a link to download the configuration utility required for the software. Click on the here link to download (tee-on.com/pos/mysql_configuration_1.0.exe)
  5. Once the file for the MySQL configuration utility has been downloaded run the file. The file name was
    mysql_configuration_1.0.exe
  6. Double click on the file to run it
    1. Clink on the link on the first screen to download database engine (tee-on.com/pos/mysql-5.7.zip)
    2. Click Next on the first screen
    3. Choose the location of the downloaded database engine. The correct location should already be there but if not browse to it
    4. Choose the drive you want the database to be installed on (typically C)
    5. Click Install to complete the install
    6. Two directories will be created on the chosen drive c:\mysql-5.7 and c:\mysql-backup. Every night Tee On will create a new full back in c:\mysql-backup. You should copy this folder offsite on a daily basis.
    7. Click Finish to complete
  7. Go back to Tee On POS install Window and click Next
  8. Enter the product key. To get the product key login with Super Administrator account at www.tee-on.com and click on Administration and then click on POS Install Download
  9. Click Next
  10. This screen gives you an opportunity to change the directory where you want the Tee On Point of Sale installed and click Next
  11. If the destination folder that installed MySQL at is different than listed click Browse and change it
  12. Enter the password qfc9231 and click Next
  13. Review the settings and click Next
  14. Once installation is complete click Finish
  15. A shortcut should have been created on the desktop that can be used to open the client. If due to security restrictions on the computer  the shortcut did not get created simply go to
    C:\program files\teeon\pointofsale\bin (or the location you chose for the install) and right click on PointofSale.exe and choose send to desktop
  16. Right click on the shortcut on the desktop and choose properties, then click advanced, and then check the box beside Run as administrator and click OK. Click on the Compatibility tab and click on "Change settings for all users" and then check the box beside Run this program in compatibility mode for and choose Windows XP from the drop-down. Click Apply and OK. Performing this step will ensure the Point of Sale does not run into security issues with any of its functions.
