POS Client Initial Installation
If you have already downloaded the install file, please proceed to Step 2.
- Login to www.teeon.com with your Super Administrator Account and click on Administration
- Click Point of Sale
- Click POS Install Download
- You will see a link starting with New POS Client Install Version. Click on this link to download the install program.
- Open the folder where the files were extracted and click on setup.exe. (In most cases it will be in your downloads folder)
- Click Next
- Copy the product key and paste into the product key field on this screen. (You can copy by selecting the product key and pressing both the CTRL + C button on your keyboard. To paste it use CTRL + V)
- Click Next
- Once installation is complete click Finish
- A shortcut should have been created on the desktop that can be used to open the client. If due to security restrictions on the computer the shortcut did not get created simply go to:
C:\program files\teeon\pointofsale\bin (or the location you chose for the install) and right click on PointofSale.exe and choose Send to Desktop - (Do not do anything with compatibility mode when using Windows XP for step 9)
- Right click on the shortcut on the desktop and choose properties.. Click on the Compatibility tab and click on "Change settings for all users" and then check the box beside "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and choose Windows XP from the dropdown, and also check the box "Run this program as an administrator". Click apply and OK. Performing this step will ensure the Point of Sale does not run into security issues with any of its functions
Note: If you are installing a number of clients place the install on a memory stick or a shared folder that all computers have access to and run the install on every computer that needs the POS client.
