Your terminal is unable to receive information from your POS

  1. Ensure that your terminal is properly connected to your POS. The IP Address and Port Number (5110) must match.
  2. Ensure your terminal always uses the same IP address in order to maintain a connection to your POS. Configure the network setup on your Moneris terminal to use Static IP addressing.
    • At the Main menu, tap SettingsCommunication, and Communications setup, the follow the prompts. 
  3. Make sure that Cellular communication is disabled and that WiFi is enabled.
  4. Make sure your terminal is connected to a WiFi network. If your terminal is connected via WiFi, the name of the WiFi network will appear under Scan Networks
  5. Your POS and your Moneris terminal must be on the same Network. Verify that they aren't on different networks.
