Issuing, Redeeming and Checking the Balance on Gift Cards

Issuing a Dollar Value Gift Certificate

1. From the sales screen, click Gift Certificate Sale
2. Type in the Amount of the gift certificate. 
3. If you are using a preprinted card, uncheck the box beside Auto Generate and scan or swipe the card. 
4. Type in the customer’s information. 
5. Click Ok
6. Select the Payment Type.

Redeeming a Dollar Value Gift Certificate

1. Select the items being sold.
2. Select the Payment Type of Gift Certificate.
3. Type in or scan the gift certificate ID.
4. Click Ok

Redeeming a Gift Certificate with a Split Payment

1. Select the items being sold.
2. Select the Payment Type of Gift Certificate. 
3. Type in or scan the gift certificate ID.
4. Click Perform Split Payment
5. Select the second Payment Type. 
6. Click Apply
7. Click Ok

Checking the Remaining Balance of a Dollar Value Gift Certificate

1. Click More Functions
2. Click Gift Certificate Balance
3. Type in the gift certificate ID. 
4. Click Ok – the balance will be displayed on the screen.
