Enable Credit Card Capture for Pro Shop Bookings
Turn on Credit Card Capture for Pro Shop Bookings
Note: In order to use the Credit Card Capture functionality, you must have Moneris and the Moneris Vault Functionality enabled. Captured credit cards can be charged up to 7 days after the tee time. Can be used for no-shows or late cancellations.
- From your Tee On account online, go to Administration
- Select Online Pricing
- Click Pricing Setup
- Click the Settings drop-down
- Click Settings
- Select the Credit Card Capture Settings drop-down
- Check the box beside Pro Shop Credit Card Capture
- Public Credit Card Capture - Choose how you want to capture the credit card for Public bookings. There are a few options:
- Do Not Capture: Never capture the Credit Card for bookings made by the Public through the Pro Shop
- Use Item Setting - Optional: This will capture the credit card based on the setup of each individual pricing item. They will have the option to skip the capture.
- Use Item Setting - Forced: This setting will capture the credit card based on the setup of each individual pricing item, and force your staff to take the Credit Card if required.
- Always - Optional: This setting will prompt for capturing the credit card every time, but the capture can be skipped.
- Always - Forced: This setting will prompt for capturing the credit card every time and the capture can not be skipped.
- Capture for League Bookings: Checking this box will allow you to capture credit cards for league bookings
- Capture for Regular Tournament Bookings: Checking this box will allow you to capture credit cards for regular tournament bookings.
- Make a tee time booking. When you are ready to save the booking you will notice a black credit card icon beside the Save button. (This icon will turn white once the credit card has been captured.)
- The Credit Card Capture box will show up. Enter the Card Number, Expiry Date and Security Code of the credit card.
- If the customer wishes to save this credit card for bookings going forward, you can check the box beside Keep on File.
- Click Save
- If you wish to skip capturing the Credit Card, click Skip Credit Card Capture.
- Click Save to save the changes
Configuring the No Show/ Cancellation Fees
No show fees and late cancellation fees can only be charged to bookings that have credit card information on file.
- Select the No Show / Cancellation Fees drop-down
No show Fees
- If you are charging a No Show Fee, check off the box beside No show Fees
- There are 3 ways you can charge a No show fee. You can charge the full Pre-Tax Amount, Percentage of Pre-Tax Total & Fixed Amount per Player. Select the fees you wish to have show up when charging No shows.
- If you want to include the cart fees check the box beside Include Cart
- Click Save. You will get a message that the fee settings have been saved successfully.
Cancellation Fees
- If you are charging a Cancellation Fee, check off the box beside Cancellation Fees
- There are 3 ways you can charge a Cancellation fee. You can charge the full Pre-Tax Amount, Percentage of Pre-Tax Total & Fixed Amount per Player. Select the fees you wish to have show up when charging Cancellation Fees.
- If you want to include the cart fees check the box beside Include Cart
- Click Save. You will get a message that the fee settings have been saved successfully.
Add your Disclaimer/Refund Policy
Include your refund policy & cancellation/No Show Policy into the box provided. When your customers are making the tee time booking, they will check off a box that they agree to these terms and conditions.
- From your Tee On account online, click Administration
- Click Online Pricing
- Click Online Payment Setup
- Enter your text into the Disclaimer box.
- If you want to receive booking payment notification emails when golfers book, check the box.
- Click Save
Processing the Cancellation/No Show Fee
- Select the tee time you want to process the No Show/Cancellation Fee for.
- Click Extra Fees
- Select No Show to process a No Show Fee
- Select Cancellation to process a Cancellation Fee
- Select the golfer(s) you want to charge
- Choose how you want to charge them. Full Amount, % of Total or Fixed Amount. (Only the options you had checked off in the previous step will show)
- Click Take Payment to take the payment.
- A note will be added to the booking that tells you which players were charged (Amount and time included)
- The transaction will show on your Point of Sale under Transaction Viewer
- The transaction will also show up on the online side of Tee On under Online Transactions
- The golfer will get two receipts emailed to them. 1 from the POS and 1 from Moneris.
