Creating Combo Items

Combo items can be used to group two or more items into a single sale item. When a combo item is sold, revenue is pointed at the accounting reference of the items used within the combo. For example, a green fee and cart combo would allocate revenue to Green Fee Revenue and Cart Rental Revenue. 

 

When running sales reports on combo items you have the option for the report to include the combo item or include the combo item sales under the items that are within the combo. For example, with a green fee and cart combo if you check the option when running the report to "Show Combo Items" the sales for the combo itself will be included on the report. If the box is left unchecked, the sales for the combo item will be included with the original green fee and cart items that are within the combo. 

 

To create a combo item, first build the individual items that will be a part of the combo with their applicable tax and accounting reference. 

  1. Click Admin
  2. Click Items and Departments
  3. Select the department or sub-department the item is being added to.
  4. Click Add Item
  5. Type a Name for the Item.  Press Tab three times to copy the Name to Button Text, Receipt Description and Label Text. 
  6. Set the Item Type to Combo Item
  7. Click Next
  8. Click Set Included Items
  9. Select the items you would like to include from your inventory. 
  10. Click Ok

 

To Set the Price for the Combo:

 

Setting the price of an item within the combo allows you to set a different price for the sale item when it is sold within the combo compared to when it is sold on its own. 

  1. Highlight the item. 
  2. Click Set Price
  3. Type the Price for the item.
  4. Click Ok

Continue this process for each of the items within the combo. 

 

To Adjust the Quantity of an Item in the Combo:

 

The Set Quantity function is used for times when you are creating a combo item that requires multiples of the same sale item, for example, a Couples Tournament Round item.

  1. Highlight the item.
  2. Click Set Quantity
  3. Type the Quantity.
  4. Click Ok
  5. Continue this process for each of the items within the combo as required. 
  6. Click Save
