Creating a Service Charge

In the Tee On Point of Sale you can create a Service Charge that can be linked to items where you want to automatically charge an extra percentage in addition to the basic price.

  1. Click Admin
  2. Click Registers
  3. Highlight the Register you want to apply this Service Charge to. The Service Charge will have to be added to all Registers requiring this. 
  4. Click Configure Selected Register
  5. ClickConfigure Service Charge
  6. Click Apply Service Charge
  7. If Administrators can charge this Service charge then "Apply to Administrators" must be checked as well. If you do not apply this, only a staff member that has Super Administrator permissions will be allowed to charge a Service Charge. 
  8. Set the Service Charge Tax & Percentage. 
  9. Click Ok

Now this Service Charge must be linked to the Items and Departments that you want this charge added to.

 

Service Charge added per Item:

  1. Open the Item is in Items & Departments that you want the Service Charge added to.
  2. Click Has a Service Charge (if the register charges a service charge)
  3. Click Save

Service Charge added per Department:

  1. Find the department that you want to add the Service Charge to.
  2. Click Edit Department
  3. ClickDefault has Service Charge
  4. ClickUpdate Items with Defaults
  5. Check mark Has service charge and click Ok
  6. Click Yes, this will add the Service Charge to all the items in that department at once.
  7. Click Save
