Backdating a Transaction

Back Date Transaction Mode can be used to process a transaction on a previous day. Your cash must be closed in order to backdate a transaction. You cannot take a transaction that has already been rung in and backdate it to a previous day - the original transaction will need to be voided and then a new transaction will need to be performed in backdate mode.

To backdate a transaction:

  1. Click Admin

  2. Click Transaction Viewer

  3. Click Back Date Transaction Mode

  4. Select the Day you would like to backdate the transaction to.

  5. Select the Register

  6. Select the Time

  7. Click Ok

  8. Process the transaction normally by selecting the items and then the payment type.

  9. A warning will popup verifying that you want to backdate the current transaction, click Yes.

The transaction is now completed and has been backdated to the date selected.

To deactivate backdate mode:

  1. Click Admin

  2. Click Transaction Viewer

  3. Click Back Date Transaction Mode

  4. Click Ok

Please Note: After you backdate transactions to a particular day you should run the reports and the accounting export for the day as they will now include the backdated transactions.
