Adding an Online Gift Certificate

Online gift certificates are created by choosing from the fixed amount gift certificates set up on the Tee On Point of Sale and setting the online options such as images and descriptions. The SKU, price and taxes of online gift certificates are obtained from the POS and cannot be changed. To update online gift certificates with changes made on the POS use the refresh item function.

 

Adding a Gift Certificate in the Tee On Point of Sale

  1. From your Tee On Point of Sale, click Admin.
  2. Click Gift Certificates
  3. Click Add
  4. Type in the description of the gift certificate, and give the gift certificate a value.
  5. Click OK
  6. Click Edit Gift Certificate Content
  7. Make sure Send email when sold online is checked off. If it's not checked off, the email won't send when a customer purchases the item. 

 

Adding a Gift Certificate to your Online Store

 

Once your Gift Certificate items have been added into your Tee On Point of Sale, you are ready to add them to the Online Store. To add your Gift Certificate items to the online store:

  1. From your Online Tee Sheet, click Administration.
  2. Click Online Store
  3. Click Gift Certificate Setup
  4. Click Add
  5. Select the Gift Certificate from the item listing. 
  6. If you would like to give the Gift Certificate item a description, type the description into the Display Name text box provided. 
  7. If you would like to change the dollar amount that will be given to the customer when they purchase this item, change the Dollar Amount. An example of this would be if you were doing a promotion where a customer purchases a $50 Gift Card and gets an additional $10. 
  8. To send a custom email when a customer purchases this item, check off the box that says Send custom email on purchase. Type in the text you would like to include in the email, and attach a file if required. 
  9. If you would like the item to be inactive, make sure the box that is checked off beside Active is unchecked. To have the item active during a specific date range, check off the box beside Active during a specific date range. Choose the dates by clicking on the buttons, and choosing the dates.  
  10. Choose a form from the drop down if a form is required for this item. 
  11. Click Save
