Adding a Shotgun to Templates
For courses who run a regularly scheduled shotgun format you can add the shotgun directly to your template for the day(s). The shotgun can be setup so that it is available online for members and/or public players to book.
Please Note: if you are booking a shotgun tournament this should be done through the Tournaments page; templates are intended for regularly occurring events.
Adding a Public Shotgun to an Existing Template
- From your Tee On online account, click Administration
- Click Templates
- Click Edit Template
- Select the template you'd like to add the public shotgun to and click Edit.
- Click Save & Continue
- Click Save & Continue
- Click Add Shotgun
- Check the nines to include in the shotgun.
- Select the Start Time from the drop-down.
- Type the Duration of the shotgun.
- Type the Lead Time
- Select the Draw Template from the drop-down.
- Click Add Shotgun. You will see the shotgun scheduled during the time you have chosen.
- Select the Start Time for the shotgun.
- In the Times List Tools section, choose the number holes allowed, whether or not web booking is allowed & booking categories allowed.
- Click Apply to apply these settings to your shotgun.
- Click Save
Adding a Public Shotgun to a New Template
Create the New Template
- From your Tee On online account, click Administration
- Click Templates
- Click Create New Template
- Type in a Template Name
- Type in a Description for the Template.
- Type the Start Time for your template.
- Type the Stop Time for your template.
- Type the 1st Interval
- Type the 2nd Interval (If you are using multiple intervals.)
- Select the nines you'd like to add tee times to.
- Click Build
- Click Save & Continue
Please Note: You should type your course’s earliest Start Time and latest End Time. Changes in opening and closing can be accommodated for using the Hours of Operation function.
Template Turn Setup
You have the ability to customize the turn times list with custom settings for the front and back nines. This can be applied to a range of times, or individual tee times. The system defaults to 2 hours. To change it:
Applying Turn Times to a Range of Times
- Type the Start Time
- Type the Stop Time
- Type the Turn Time (h:mm)
- Check off the nines you'd like to apply the turns to.
- Click Apply
- Click Save & Continue
Applying Turn Times to Individual Times
- Select the Tee Time
- Choose the Turn Nine
- Choose the Turn Time
- Click Save
- Repeat the same process for all other tee times you'd like to adjust manually. Click Save & Continue when finished.
Template Booking Category Setup
Booking Category Setup for a Range of Times
- Type the Start Time
- Type the Stop Time
- Choose the number of Holes Allowed
- Choose whether or not you would like to Allow Web Booking
- Select the Booking Categories allowed.
- Choose which nines to apply the changes to.
- Click Apply
- Click Save when you are finished.
Booking Category Setup for Individual Times
- Select the Tee Time(s)
- Choose the Number of Holes Allowed
- Choose whether or not you would like to Allow Web Booking.
- Select the Booking Categories allowed.
- Click Apply
- Click Save when you are finished.
Adding the Public Shotgun
You can add a shotgun start to the template. To add a shotgun you must choose the nines included, enter the start time and enter the lead time for the shotgun. The lead time is the amount of time required to clear the course before the shotgun and is typically the amount of time required to play nine holes.
- Click Add Shotgun
- Check the Nines to include in the shotgun.
- Select the Start Time from the drop-down.
- Type the Duration of the shotgun.
- Type the Lead Time
- Select the Draw Template from the drop-down.
- Click Add Shotgun
Applying the Tee Sheet Template
Step 1: Select Date
- Choose Single Date or Multiple Dates

If you select Multiple Dates:
- Select the days you would like to apply the template to by clicking on the day.
- If you are doing a range, click Range
- Select the Range Start and Range End dates.
- Check off the day(s) of the week the template will be applied to.
- Click Add
- Click Next
