Overview of Setting up Printers (Receipt, Kitchen & Bar)

This guide explains how to set up printing from your browser to receipt, kitchen, and bar printers using the Tee On Printer App.

 

Before You Start

To print successfully:

  • The printer must be installed and working in Windows or macOS
  • The Tee On Printer App must be installed and running at all times

Step 1: Install & Configure the Printer in Windows / macOS

Before connecting to Tee On, your printer must be set up at the system level.

  • Install the printer using manufacturer drivers (Epson, Star, etc.)
  • Add the printer in:
    • Windows: Settings → Bluetooth & Devices → Printers & Scanners
    • Mac: System Settings → Printers & Scanners
  • Print a test page to confirm it’s working

If the printer does not work here, it will not work in Tee On


Step 2: Download the Tee On Printer App

  • In Tee On, go to:
    Settings → Facility → Printers
  • Download the Tee On Printer App
  • Install and launch the app

Step 3: Log Into the Printer App

  • Open the Tee On Printer App
  • Log in using your Tee On credentials

⚠️ The app must remain open and running in the background at all times for printing to work.


Step 4: Connect Printers in the App

  • In the Printer App, add your printers by:
    • Selecting the exact printer name as it appears in Windows/macOS
    • Choosing the connection type:
      • USB
      • Network (IP address)

💡 Tip: The printer name must match exactly what is installed on the computer.


Step 5: Configure Printer Roles (Kitchen, Bar, Receipt)

Kitchen & Bar Printers

  • Every computer that needs to send orders to the kitchen/bar must have the Printer App installed and running
  • The kitchen/bar printer must be added on each of those computers

Primary Setting:

  • Only one computer (typically the main food & beverage terminal) should have the printer set as Primary

Receipt Printers

  • Receipt printers are device-specific
  • Each computer should:
    • Have its own receipt printer connected
    • Set that printer as Primary on that device

Important: App Must Always Be Running

The Tee On Printer App acts as the bridge between your browser and your printers.

🚨 If the app is closed:

  • Kitchen tickets will not print
  • Bar tickets will not print
  • Receipts will not print

Make sure the app is:

  • Open
  • Running in the system tray/menu bar
  • Launched on startup (recommended)

Troubleshooting

Printer not appearing in the app

  • Confirm it is installed in Windows/macOS
  • Restart the Printer App

Orders not printing

  • Ensure the app is running
  • Confirm the correct printer is set as Primary
  • Check printer status (online, paper loaded, no errors)

Kitchen/bar not receiving tickets

  • Verify the printer is added on every sending device
  • Confirm only one device is set as Primary
