[Printer Setup](https://academy.teeon.com/academy-cloud/printer-setup?hsLang=en) # How to Set Up a Printer on Windows ## This guide walks you through installing and configuring a receipt printer on a Windows device. ### ***Epson TM-T88V Example*** --- #### Step 1: Connect the Printer - Plug in the printer power cable and turn it on - Connect the printer to your computer: - **USB:** Plug directly into the computer - **Network (Ethernet):** Connect to your router/switch --- #### Step 2: Install Epson Drivers - Download the latest drivers for the **Epson TM‑T88V** from Epson’s website - Run the installer and follow the prompts During installation: - Choose the correct connection type (**USB** or **Network**) - If using network, enter the printer’s **IP address** 💡 *Tip:* If you don’t know the IP address, print a network status sheet from the printer. --- #### Step 3: Add the Printer in Windows 1. Open: **Settings → Bluetooth & Devices → Printers & Scanners** 2. Click **Add Device** 3. Select your printer from the list If it does not appear: - Click **Add Manually** - Choose: - “Add a printer using a TCP/IP address” (for network printers) - Or manually select the Epson driver --- #### Step 4: Confirm Printer Name - Click the printer → **Manage** → **Print a Test Page** - Confirm: - Paper feeds correctly - Text prints clearly --- #### Optional: Set as Default Printer - In **Printers & Scanners**, click the printer - Select **Set as Default** --- #### Troubleshooting (Windows) **Printer not showing up** - Re-run the Epson installer - Check USB cable or network connection **Network printer not found** - Confirm IP address is correct -
